Laguiole Traditional Knife 11 cm Guilloche Ram Horn Tip

The Laguiole knife first appeared in the village of Laguiole in the 1820s. Over the following decades, production expanded to Thiers, the historic capital of French cutlery, where this exquisite piece was handcrafted. This model belongs to the renowned "Gilles®" Fontenille Pataud collection—widely considered among the finest pocketknives in the world. Each knife is crafted entirely by a single master craftsman, ensuring a level of detail and pride of ownership unmatched.

Handle Character: This model features a handle crafted from genuine Ram Horn Tip. Harvested from the solid tip of the horn, this material is celebrated for its extreme toughness and raw, organic texture. It showcases a stunning depth of character with natural ridges and a color palette ranging from translucent amber to deep charcoals and creamy greys. Because natural horn varies significantly in texture and color, the item shown in the photos is exactly the one the customer will receive.

The Guilloché Series: This special edition features intricate Guilloché (hand-chiseling) that extends beyond the spring to include the top and bottom liners, as well as the entire top edge of the blade. This extensive detailing transforms a professional tool into a unique work of artisanal art.

Technical Aspects:
• 11 cm Handle: A compact and versatile size for daily carry.
• Forged Bee: The bee and spring are forged from a single piece of steel, ensuring superior strength and a seamless transition (no gaps).
• Hardened Blade Stop: Features a solid blade stop to prevent the edge from ever making contact with the inner spring, preserving the blade's sharpness.
• Full-length Hand-chiseled Spring: Decorated with traditional motifs and the iconic Shepherd’s Cross on the handle.
